The 21th SDEWES Conference, was held from 30 August - 03 September 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria and it has brought together 543 scientists, researchers, and experts in the field of sustainable development from 58 countries and six continents, out of which 461 attended onsite and 82 online. We listened to 415 oral presentations and had the chance to see 75 poster presentations. There were 53 regular and 9 special sessions plus four keynote plenary lectures and three panels given by some of the most distinguished experts in the field.
This year we continued with the tradition within the onsite conferencing, by organizing the Project Exchange Event which aroused a lot of interest. 20 projects were presented, and many were interested in hearing about them.We hope you were as happy as we were as we again had the chance to meet, mingle and share new ideas in person.
